According to our Ayurvedic experts, poor eating habits are highly responsible for dark circles which reflects on the face and highly visible in regions under the eyes. Skipping breakfast, chewing and eating too quickly, high consumption of caffeine and cold drinks tend to disrupt the normal functionality of the digestive system. Moreover, there are other causes of dark circles as well as including anemia and lack of sufficient sleep.
What you can do?
- Increase consumption of warm beverages and food items
- Have one spoon of ghee or olive oil to improve digestion
- Exercise daily
- Maintain a fixed sleeping cycle
Apart from the aforementioned points, one can place slices of raw apples or potato in the region under the eyes for around 15 minutes every day. The starch in the potatoes along with vitamin B and C in apples significantly help in getting rid of dark circles.
